Task’N’Go

Productivity.

With Task’n’Go we wanted to solve the biggest problem that we all face while working – DevOps not having a native mobile application for mobile phones. So many work items stay unresolved or are on hold for a long time after their original estimate and due date is far long past because the user that resolved the task was not in front of his computer of on a meeting.
With the creation of a mobile application, we are indeed solving this problem.
While planning Task’n’Go we were lead by the simplest of rule: the fewer steps while using the app, the better. You log in with your Microsoft Account, import your organization, and voilà, you have your tasks on the go!
After the user will import the organizations that he is a part of, the process of going through projects, users, work items, setting up new tasks, discussions, attachments is the well-known process of Microsoft, but this time It is more user friendly and oriented towards mobile users. Additionally, we added an option in which the “main management” of the company can see how the employees are progressing, and their speed. If they are slow like a snail, to see why is that, or if someone is finishing up tasks fast like a rabbit, reward him. The main point is not to overwork the tasks to one employee because his tasks are going slow because there can be many reasons for that (like more complex tasks) and then the one that is finished sooner can jump on and help.
Now that we know what we want to accomplish, and have already set the postulates, the next step was the design of the application. Keep reading there is something that might couth your eye.
Here is the fun part. Every user has it’s own “To Do” list for the day, i.e. list of all unfinished tasks. Thanks to iOS’s widget and Android’s “locked notification”, the tasks that will be inputted in DevOps by hand, here will be finished easily. Let us explain why is that. When you start working on the task you click “play”, while on break or lunch you press “pause”. You finish the task and click “stop”. The task automatically moves to DevOps, i.e., on Task’n’Go as resolved and you are ready to move to the next task. And all of this with your screen locked!
The thing that was most helpful for the developers was indeed the Design System. All icons, colors, text styles can be found there and the whole process went smooth and fluid.
